California Products Corporation in 2009. This
acquisition allows for a sustained commitment to the independent dealer.
California Products Corporation looks to continue the mission of Progress
Brands and manufacture quality paint while providing unsurpassed value to
the independent.
Progress Paint, a manufacturer of interior and exterior architectural
paints, industrial maintenance coatings and marine finishes, was founded in
1912. With a commitment to the independent dealer, Progress has always
supported well trained and knowledgeable retailers, refusing to allow sales
of their brands through big box chains or large discount stores.
With almost 100 years of growth and innovation, Progress Brands has a rich
and successful history. Many achievements have been documented through the
years and some of the most memorable milestones are:
1950 – Early adopter of modern latex technology
1952 – Introduction of Pro-Plastic®, first oil-modified latex
